Ethics, your buddy's dealer doesn't have them.
If he was such a great dealer, why would he need to stack the deck in his favor?

 

I received a coupon for a 'free' dyno after my transaction.

Don't know if it still holds true, but the results of those surveys used to have an impact on the number of new bikes they are allotted each year. So did the size of their HOG chapter. And yes, I've had them volunteer to fill out the survey for me if I didn't want to be bothered with it.

 

I never received any such survey on any of the new bikes I purchased. I dont think I have ever gotten anything FREE from ANY Dealer for ANYTHING, other than coffee.

 

Exactly, my dealer never asked me to bring it in so they could see it. HD will send them the results so they will know where they stand with the buying pubic.

 

My dealer gave me 2 tShirts when I picked the bike up, no strings attached.
