Maybe go inside, ask who owns the Sporty XYZ and then a polite "Hey bud, you parked close to me and I don't want to mess up either of our bikes so could you come out and pick it up while I take off?...., Thanks, ride careful" And no, don't ever touch anyone elses bike, that's just not right.
I'm kinda with this guy ...

Some folks believe that parking as close as possible shows their prowess as a rider. They can park closer than you can so they must be a better rider.

Exactly, I never ride in groups, because of this stupid s&^% happening. Sorry about your bike.

How about carrying some self sticky, hard to get off labels and put it on the mirrors ? They will come off after some scraping or goof-off.

I can say that I have gently moved a mirror, not the stem, to get my bike out safely. It saved my bike and also let them know. I have also turned in mirrors on 1 ton duallys that were parked in compact car spaces, and couldn't get the door open. Usually their over the lines too.

Now that my friend could be an issue with the Samson Cholos crew. But... on another note, I always found it practical to not park at the rear of the spot. Seen too many parking lot Nascars speeding into a space between 2 cars and then all of a sudden jamming the brakes 'cause a bike that was not visible was parked toward the back of the space.

One of my peaves is in small cities, why the fak do people that don't know you have to f'n share a parking spot with ya in a half empty lot? It was always known that 1 bike = 1 vehicle for 1 parking spot. I only share a spot with family and friends.

To the OP: I can see your frustration. Got a scratched signal lens over it, but it was my fault for not looking closer to where my wife was parked at the gas pumps, haha!

Geez some people have thin skins. That's the first time it's ever happened to you? Go to a big rally and you see bikes squeezed close together all the time. There's always a way to manouever your bike around so that you don't have to pull it upright immediately and get a scratch. Leave it leaned a bit and move it up a few inches to clear the bags.

Live and learn.....

It's just paint and chrome. I usually try to get my first new scratch out of the way the first week I have a bike/car/boat...after that, I just go f**k it...

tough guy or not...if you don't want me to move your bike....then don't park real close to me.

Oh, and I have a CCW, as do alot of folks these days...so you might want to be careful about going up to strangers and trying to "administer a whoop ***".

all you had to do was write down his license plate number, and let insurance handle it.

Too many folks these days living in a bubble....all that matters is what I AM doing...fk everyone else.
