Default mid controls or forward controls?I THINK IT'S ALL BEEN SAID!!

Although I think forward controls look good, I really prefer to ride with mid controls. I seem to be in the minority. Maybe it is because I spent most of my years of riding on dirt bikes. Besides, I can always use my highway pegs if I need to change position.

Anyone feel the same way?

Depends on the fit. Could not tolerate mids on the Dyna, too cramped. The fwds are closer to mids for me. I got floor boards on the Hendersons, and they are OK. Would like to find a way to get hiway pegs for them tho.

I have a couple of friends with mids, and after being on my bike for so long, I cannot ride comfortably with mids, it feels so unnatural, and I do not feel safe going into turns...Forward controls forever more

Grunt: How tall are you? I am just 6' and I am not cramped at all on my bob. I assume the bob has the same peg position as all of the Dynas. On the bob my legs make a perfect right angle.

I used to feel exactly the same way as you Fmshiner.....

My new acquisition came with fowards, fell in love with 'em within the 1st hour and I'll never go back to mids....

Multiple position options sounds good but I'd rarely want my feet on the mids,I'd much rather have my brake and shifting take place where my feet perfer to be.

Have you given forwards much of a try ?

Only thing about forward controls is that you cannot lift/hover yourself off the seat to brace for bumps and stuff. And it's bad on the ole tail bone and leads to early impotence. AND if by chance you do end up having kids they end up Democrats.... JK

6'2". Almost felt like I was getting ready to stand up. Probably about 10 degree angle past 90 w/the skull fwds.

Yes T3 I've ridden quite a bit with forwards. I like them, I just prefer mids. It may be the feeling of control I have with them. I feel i can take pressure off of the seat when I need to and I feel like I can maneuver in a emergency better. I'm sure it is the dirt bike experience that effects what I like now that I think about it. You wouldn't even think of riding a dirt bike with forwards, of course, because you would not have as much control.

I also agree with LP. I don't want my kids to be Dems!!!
