What adhesive for grip
#2
I have put on several grips over the years and they have all been so tight I have never used glue. The new ones I bought always came with some glue, that I landed up throwing away. I have had people tell me that hairspray actually works well, but I have never tried it myself.

Don't use glue, you will end up hating life while trying to put it on. Rubbing alcohol is great. since most of those grips are tight as hell as it is, the rubbing alcohol will lube it up enough to slip right on and then the grip is good to go. If you try using the glue and don't get the grip on fast enough you will have to try to pry it off without cutting the rubber grip and then trying again.

I use hairspray, when it's wet it acts as a lube to slide the grip on, when it drys it will hold it in place (but probably isn't necessary).

I need to re-glue mine. Now that it's starting to warm up here in AZ, mine has started to slip on the bar when it gets hot.

Glue doesn't hold. Use an even wrap of electrical tape on the handlebar for the length of the grip. It can now be installed by pushing/twisting.
