What adhesive for grip
#11
I use GripLock made for grips. Been using it for years and works well. It looks a lot like 3M weather strip sealer same yellow color. I never had much luck with tape as when it gets hot and here in the deep south it gets HOT it comes loose and sticky. Never had GripLock come loose if applied properly. You have to make sure everything is very clean then put some on the handle bars and inside the grip put on handle bar spin it pull off put back on and wipe of any extra. This way you get the glue distributed well.

Believe it or not, like some suggest, hairspray works very well. MotoX racers use it all the time & you never see them pulling grips off bike(s) while racing...and no mess when done. Give it a try - you'll be amazed & make sure you return it to your OL's vanity...

just put a set of rubber grips on last night & thank god i didn't use the glue that they provided as those damn things were tighter than turtle ***** & it took wayyyy longer than the 10/25 sec for the glue to set
i left the old glue on the bar & put a couple of drops of EVOO on the first inch of the bar & the first inch inside the grip, still had to wrestle the damn thing on
the EVOO worked into the glue overnight & it's set ( tryed my iron grip on it this morning, it ain't budging )

+1 on electrical tape ....spray some glass cleanear on the tape and twist on the new grip I have been doing that for over 30 years with no problems at all.
