Dunlop D402 Tire
#31
I'd like to know just how you guys are getting such fantastic mileage out of a rear 402. I've been running them on my '94 FLSTN since the bike was new. I've worn out 25 of them and am currently running rear 402 number 26 on the bike, so I guess that gives me a large sample. I typically get anywhere from 7,500 to 9,000 out of a rear tire, and replace the front 402 every second rear tire.
I weigh 155#, ride solo and run 38-40 psi in the back tire. I'm 63 and generally ride like the old man I am. Yes, they're REAL 402s, all bought through my local H-D dealer.

I just ordered a MU85B16 American Elite. Will see how it works, I tried the Commander II and it wasn't great for me.

If I remember correctly I got 14k on the stock 40 whatever that came on the 12 street glide. I changed that over to dunlops american elite. I put about 10k on it so far and still has plenty of life. Just now changing the front to the american elite. Will have to check the rear before my trip later this summer. Will stay with the american elites
