Default Laughlin river run

Hello all!
Since I work in Laughlin, thought I'd give everybody a heads up. As some of you might know,Casino Dr. is getting work done. New sewer and water systems underground,etc..
Unfortunatly the contracter(s) have had a LOT of problems, collapsing manholes, they broke the water main to the Edgewater casino, heavy, for our area, rains, and such. So consequintly they're over 110 days behind schedule!.
The main contracter has promised that they will have Casino Dr. open with all 4 lanes by the 22nd, but be forewarned they have not repaved all of the street yet. There will be some rough spots on the road, so get your fillings checked cause they might get jarred loose! LOL
Also, Highway 163 , the road from Vegas, is closed right know for the installation of a pedestrian overpass. But that area is just on the Nevada side of the bridge, so it's more of an inconvienance to people heading TO Las Vegas from Az than vice versa. That, too, should be open by the 22nd.
As I find more info I'll let everybody know what's going on.
OH! And please stop at the Belle and Edgewater and play. That's where I work and we want your money! HAHA!!!

Thanks for the post. I'm headed there by way of Las Vegas where my son lives. we meet up every year and do the River Run.

We only spend about a half day there. Don't hit the Casino's for anything except the lunch buffet.

I'd think the casino owners would be about to replace that incompetent contractor.

Jim,

Thanks for the heads up on the construction in the area as well as around Las Vegas, we will be heading down for the first time on the 27th and plan on being in Laughlin on the evening or the 28th going thru Las Vegas. I look forward to the ride and rally and hope you are right that the construction will be done or atleast the roads open and not to F**ked up. Not sure how much we will gamble but am sure we will throw a little money that way.

Unfortunatly, it's Clark County not the casinos that hired these wahoos.
I hope this guy didn't bid as flat rate, cause he's screwed if he did!

I'm not a drinker or gambler, but my buddies are and one of them loves leaving money... I mean gambling at the Belle.
