For all fellow riders, I have had nothing but great results from these guys. I have been working with Brian, got my order of 10" chrome monkey bars with complete wiring, controls, and all necessary hardware. I had only one problem, called them and left a message, within 24 hours, I received a phone call back, and replacement parts were sent out next day. I know everybody has their own opinion, but with my experience, I will definetly be using them again when I purchase my Nitro wheel combo package!!

I have these post come up every now and then about HCC and I have stayed away becasue of them. It seems to always be the same. Customer service sucks and noe communication. However after reading the post from the sales manager saying they have replaced the employees responsible for the poor communication and bad service shows me that they have been listening to the complaints and are trying to rectifying the problem. I will be watching to see if the tone changes in favor of HCC. Hope it does.

Seems like more than half of the posts are about HCC has awful service and they have almost zero communication. If and when I am ready to spend my cash on bars and cables again, I will definitely go to a vendor that is reliable. A vendor that sends the right parts for the bike that I ordered it for. If they do send the wrong part, they will return calls and replace the parts with out the hassle or trying to get a hold of them for weeks at a time. Ron the director of marketing/sales manager might be a great guy but he has a lot of work to do repairing a tarnished reputation with me and my circles. More than a post in a forum can fix that's for sure.

so this thread was resurected from a few years back. I finished up installing my 7th, yes that is seventh set of bars that were purchased from HCCC. (2 purchased by me) the other 5 from friends, all from either e-bay or their website, and have yet to have one single problem or issue. I will continue doing business with them. I have no idea what communication problems anyone is talking about. They answer my e-mail and returned one phone call I made the next business day.

I ordered a set of 12" Yaffe MBB's, wired, chrome controls, braided cables. I placed the order before seeing this thread. Hopefully things will go well and I'll have my bars soon. I'll update with the results when it's all said and done.

I had a HUGE reply to this.. but I'll leave it at this:
I had to leave them a message. They called me back within an hour.
I placed my order, and had it in 3 business days.
I saw this thread and freaked out!!
I took my parts from HCC (chrome controlls/switch housings/wire extensions/braided cables) to my Indy along with the bars I had bought earlier.
Indy makes fun of me for buying "chinese" parts. Looks at parts and says "oh hell, these look fine.. lets see how they FIT"
Calls me that evening for an update, stated he had some issues with the controls mounting to the bars, and took a die grinder to one, but it wasn't a big deal. Stated he broke a wiring pin and had to fix it. Blamed both of the above on the fact they were chinese, then laughed.
The parts look and feel great (aside from some scratches to the top of the right switch housing, that I cant prove werent there before my indy got them... but they are pretty light). I had a very positive experience with the company, and I will use them in the future should I need anything.

Hill Country Cycles
Here is my experience with HCC:
I had a ordered ape hangers kit from Hill Country Cycles. They called me and told me they didn't have the handlebars that I wanted. I decided to order the wiring, the clutch cable, the brake cable, and the wiring for the electronic throttle and I would get the handlebars elsewhere. They gave me a total price of $283 just for those parts and credited my credit card for the price of the handlebars. When I was installing the parts on my bike, I found out that the clutch cable was to short and it looked like it had been used. I called the company and they agreed to refund me for the cable. After a few weeks I get a call and they told me they were going to charge me $183.00 because they refunded me $238 and I told them that was the refund for the handlebars. Then they told me they would refund me $55 for the clutch cable and they refused to refund me for the shipping cost to send the cable back to them.
If you buy from them multiple parts make sure you get an itemized price list because if you have to return anything they going to put whatever price they want.

Jose, You should have been refunded for the return postage on the cable if we sent one that was incorrect. Did you purchase this from eBay, our website or by a phone call. Please email me the specifics and we will get this taken care of. Ron@hillcountrycustomcycles.com. I need your name, address and zip code. If you paid by paypal, then I need the email address that you use for your paypal account. Thank you.
