We also took the course in the rain. Instructor said he was hoping for rain so we could experience it firsthand.
Funny story was - last year I was "chosen" to experience a ride on the new Victory Vision during their traveling road show. It was pissing down rain that morning, so I called the hotel where they were holding it and asked if they were still running the demos. They said yes. I hopped on the 'glide & went out to ride this thing in the rain. When I got there one of their guys says "Now that's hardcore!", well I'm like WTF? I'm going to ride your bike in the rain, what's the difference? Chuckled about that all the way through the test ride...

Moved to Ca in October. My dad told me " It hasent really rained here in a few years, so just having the bike you shold be ok..." Yeah it rained...alot. Got wet alot and pretty mcuh froze my *** off. A far cry from the heat and dry conditions I learned to ride in when I was in AZ.

Spent two years riding my bike as my main mode of transport. I live in Vancouver B.C., which if you don't know is smack dab in the middle of a rain forest. Yeah lots of days ridin in the rain![:'(]

Had to ride through Hurricane Charley in 1986 soI wouldn't miss ship's movement on the Kennedy.....going on the Med-Cruise...Didn't have toride but for 20-miles....Felt like 20-hours!!!LOL...don't want to go thru anything like that again!

Have ridden my older bikes hard and put them away wet many times, but as yet have not ridden my first time Harley in the rain. Its bound to happen though.

How do ya think my Bikes get washed 
.....rain,hail,snow,1 tornado(pierre S.D Sturges 94)and snert.......(Blowing dirt so hard it drifts on the road)and packs the side of your face and scoot.

hundreds of times.
Rode in the first snowstorm of the year one time, on a crotchrocket, on a 50$ bet.
Been soaked more times than I care to even try to count.
Its kinda necessary in Canada, summers short, gotta ride.
