Wow.did I ever open up a can or worms. I just don't get the parking so close to other bikes. Does it not make it difficult for that rider to get on and/or off his/her bike? Maybe I'm a rebe/dickl or not, don't care, but when I park my bike,I park it in a regular space, not one lined out for motorcycles. I pay my insurance and registration fees just as much if not more than a vehicle. And when I park my bike I try to park so even another bike can not park there or if he/she does, they can not block me in.

There is a right way to park and several wrong ways. I will share a space with someone that knows how to park. I don't like sharing space when there is ample space all around.

The 1:20 mark of this MSF training video graphically demonstrates why you shouldn't park or even stop too close to another bike.

Well, if you've ever been to El Cajon HD, you would know that they have a HUGE area to park right out front. So anyone parking right up someone's *** in the middle of the week is strange.

What's worse is going to a bar and have someone park their bike in back of yours when others are on either side of you already. I had to navigate back and forth a couple times to avoid colliding when backing out. Again, what were they thinking or really were they?

The guy couldn't see to the side because of a full face helmet...he probably won't be around too much longer. You'll have your own parking space soon.
