Default Helmet Accident – Need Help

During a fuel stop this weekend I set it on the back rest, filled up and we headed off thru town…..after about two miles and 55 mph my baseball cap almost came off….that never happens because my--------------- holds it on. CRAP
At least my head wasn’t in it!

It was a cheap non DOT ˝ helmet I’ve been wearing for about two years and it don’t look so good now.

I’ve read several of you guys are happy with those carbon fiber ones so shoot me some advice on where I should pick one up and the kind I should get. I’d like the kind that doesn’t make ya look like a mushroom head. Thanks

So it took you 2 miles at 55 mph to realize your helmet was not on? What exactly are you trying to protect? JK!

I've never lost a helmet, but I have made it miles from home before I realized I wasn't wearing one. Duh.

Go to a local bike gear store and try them on. Buying helmets online leads to a garage full of helmets that you hate or don't fit properly.

I am tempted to order a new Licks DOT 3/4 helmet though..

You do know I was "JK"ing. Did not realize it was the law there. Here in Ohio we still have some freedom for now.

I went from a cheap DOT full face to a DOT 3/4 (i look like a *****)

I'm also interested in the licks 3/4 one too.

I wish it wasnt a law here but then again I'd probably wear one anyway. NJ drivers are the worst
