Was thinking the same thing as I read this, LMFAO!
Doesn't matter if I have a helmet on or not I look stupid, so I just wear a Vega 1/2 helmet with no complaints.

Daytona makes the carbon fiber ACC non-DOT helmets now. They look pretty good, with an improved liner, from what I've seen.
At Louisville Harley I just saw a DOT helmet that is almost as thin as the non-DOT ones. Next time I go there I'm going to check the brand and look them up, for when I ride to helmet states.

During a fuel stop this weekend I set it on the back rest, filled up and we headed off thru town
..after about two miles and 55 mph my baseball cap almost came off

must be padding their shipping rates, unless the thing is lead lined for extra radiation protection
