Default Had my bike Dyno Tuned by Jim Egizio of Illinois Harley today, what a difference.

Rode in to Berwyn Illinois today and had Jim Egizio Dyno Tune my Heritage. He did an amazing job! Picked up 4.7 hp and 6.5 ft lbs of torque and the bike runs about 20 degrees cooler. Bike now pulls great in all RPM ranges.

Jim's a great guy and I highly recommend him if you're anywhere close to Chicago. I'm about 2-hours away so Jim agreed to set up an appointment and did the Tune while I waited. Here is a YouTube Video of Jim that I found for those of you that have never heard of him.

When I bought the bike, I had the dealer install Rush Slip-Ons and a SE Air Cleaner. I wasn't really planning on doing anything else (performance wise), so instead of buying a Tuner, I just had the dealer do a "download". DON'T make the same mistake I did, the $150.00 I spent on the Download was a waste of money.

I thought the bike was running pretty decent but it seemed like it was running a little hot. It killed me not knowing if the bike was running as good as it could so I decided to spring for the Dyno Tune as some of you suggested when I asked the question "is it worth it"?.

I wish I would have done this at the beginning. For those of you still "on the fence", have your bike Dyno Tuned, it's best money I ever spent. Just make sure the person you choose to do the tune is qualified.

Very interested in this as well. Subscribed.

That had to be a dicey ride into Berwyn as well.

Tune cost $240.00. It's not cheap, but well worth it in my opinion and I felt good having someone of Jim's caliber do it.

The ride into Berwyn wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. If I had to do it again though, I would take I-88 instead of 290. Got stuck in a couple construction delays, but luckily I gave myself plenty of time.

If you're coming from Iowa, just take I-88 to 290 east to 43 (Harlem Ave) south. They've got a really nice dealership to look around in while the tune is being done.

Thanks for the reply. I'm getting the V/H Big Radius installed Friday and a rejet, I already have the A/N Big Sucker on. The shop says I should do a dyno as well and after all I've been hearing, I am.

That is not a bad price. My local dealer gets 350.00 and the tech told me to do it right, I would have to have bungs installed in the exhaust at 3 hours labor + parts. This is NOT included in the 350.00, so by my guess that puts me at around 500.00 + for a dyno tune from this dealer. I walked away unimpressed........

I called a dealer in Wisconsin (won't mention the name) and was told that a Dyno takes a minimum of 4-hours. Jim had mine done in under 2-hours.

I think a lot just depends on the skill of the person doing the Dyno. It's like anything else I guess, the more you do something, the better you get at doing it.

Yes a nice tune is always good and feels so nice when you get it back. When I did pipes, AC and PC III with a dyno tune on my XL50 I got 15 Hp over stock.
