Default Ohlins for softail?

Does OHLINS make shocks for FLSTC? If not what is best non-air shock? Thanks.

They used to. I have a set on FXST. Price point was the only negative retail which put them near the cost of a air suspsion. I was bale to pick a new set from a disributor that wanted to clear them out. They are certainly worth getting; and if you find a used set they can be rebuilt

Ohlins discontinued them a few years ago. Ohlins USA will not purchase any more as they need to be ordered in lots of 25 minimum. There are not 25 people willing to spend the money to make their bike ride great. As Buddha4 can most definitely tell you that the ride quality between his shock and the air type is no comparison but owners like to lower their bike more than like ride quality.

What were they, Ohlins softail shocks? Or front forks? I'd be in the market too for either. I hear Progressive suspension will upgrade stock Harley forks. Not sure about the shocks.

They were Ohlins shocks for the rear. Running RaceTech in the front. The best front end for the HD I have ridden is TRAXXION http://www.traxxion.com/harleydavidsonforkrelated.aspx

Will probably go to the AK-20 on the next rebuild.

I have Progressive 422's on the Heritage. A hugh improvement over stock & they were under $400 from Eastern Performance. I'm very happy with them.

we can make 49mm forks with triple trees with 30mm Ohlins which are by any sense of the word the absolute best front fork solution on earth if a price point is not an issue. I just put them on my FXR and rode it to Leesburg FL, Motorcycle Rally. This is the same Ohlins 30mm cartridges that are in the winners circle at every race. This unit has spring pre-load, compression & rebound all externally adjustable. The best in the world today for your Harley.
