It is only an issue if they claim you failed to yield to an emergency vehicle due to the distraction of the headphones. I guess if I did get pulled over I could just admit to not yielding because I'm stupid. There is no law that says you cant drive if your stupid, and I see proof of that every day.

This made me laugh, I totally agree with you there..

I ride mostly on open highway/ turnpike and listen to music stored on my phone. Sony earbuds and a fullface helmet do not interfere with the ability to hear my engine, wind noise or vehicles/ sirens around me.

Sometimes a great song matches a great road on a great ride and the result is greater than the sum of the three.

I ride with a full face helmet all the time, and I listen to my I-Pod. I put in helmet speakers because I hate the earbuds. I have a vol. control button on top of my clutch handle that I can adjust very easily with my thumb, and not have to remove my hand from the bars. My I-Pod is velcroed to the dash as well.

With the speakers, I can hear all the ambient noise around me, and I have used this setup for the last 4 years....
I would like to use a Bluetooth set up for bike to bike, but I'm too cheap!!!
