On a similar note... I recall my father rolling his jeans up into cuffs when he rode. I don't see that anymore either.

As did my grandfather on his 1913 Indian (grandma had her own Indian)....they were basically bicycles with motors....lots of exposed moving chain, and you rolled 'em up to keep them out of the way.
