Does anyone wear breeches and riding boots any more?

Hahahahahahaha! I was counting on some funny responses, but never really thought I'd see a pic of the Village People!
(Psssttt:
Rumor has it they might not actually be a real construction worker, cop, Indian chief, cowboy, biker and soldier! )

LMAO, that is one serious **** stach you got going on there!
Hell except for the larger agencies out here none of them motors wear that type of uniform. They all wear "BDU's". Talk about taking all the pride out of being a motor officer. But maybe the city is being p.c. and doesn't want to equate them to the jack boots back when. Either way it's a shame.

I have a feeling that the primary reason for the BDUs is the price. A decent pair of BDUs will run 25 - 50 Dollars. The cheapest pair of breeches I found (just surfing around) is about 100.00, with the better ones being over 160.00. Not to mention the boots, which start around 200.00. And the wool ones have to be dry cleaned. They do look a whole lot better as a uniform for a motor officer, but the price of purchase and maintenance might be prohibitive to some departments in today's economy.
