Body armor
#32
Armored leather jacket and gloves and helmet, either DOT 1/2 or full face depending on the ride and the weather. Knee pads under the jeans with boots. Wear it all the time , regardless if it is hot outside or not.
Gotta' do what feels comfortable for you. I used to run in t-shirt , jeans and no helmet. Just doesn't work for me any longer...

Way back when I started riding in 1971 I wasn't concerned, and even rode wearing shorts (until I got run off the road and put the bike down in gravel—it took months to regrow the skin on one of my legs). Now, I always wear a full-face helmet, and armored jacket and pants. At age 70, I'm concerned that if/when I go down now, things won't just break, they'll shatter.
