Default Finally getting my "new" bike back Friday!

So, in December I picked up an '08 Cross Bones from a Hyundai dealer of all places for $11,500 with only 2,400 miles. I think this was a good deal. I never even rode it. Had it immediately delivered to Classic HD where they installed a Heartland 200 bobber kit, SE 113" Pro Race Kit, 16" apes, SERT, Performance Machine 4 piston calipers front and rear, Heartland LED teardrop turn signals and side license plate mount, V&H Short Shots Staggered in Black, 58mm throttle body with S&S tear drop in black ( the mount for this was a one-off fabrication). I also had the primary, timing cover, tranny side cover, and top rocker boxes powder coated black wrinkle and a few other minor things. Well needless to say, I'm pretty excited to smoke the tire and ride it like I stole it. How many miles should I give it before I can start beating on her?

That's the nice thing about the '08s, they don't have it.

I would ask the Tech at Classic HD that did the work on your bike. Go by what he says. Cause if you got any problems with it he's gotta make it right.

I would like to know how you like the SE 113 kit . I bought one for my 10 FLXXX Trike. Then the motor company comes out with 120R. Which I think would cost me about the same to install. My SE 113 kit is for sale. For 2K brand new in the box's it's for 08 and up touring models. Silver jugs. Comes with heads, jugs, pistons, cams, 58mm TB, fule injectors and heavy clutch spring. And Tuner

just ran in my bike and its 500 miles as per the book , first 50 are the most important , no more than 50 mph , varying speeds and not chugging the engine , 3000 rpm , if you have a rev counter , you will not make 6th gear , then no more than 60 mph , 3500 rpm, doing the same thing round town kinda stuff , it also says no constant speeds so accelerating and throttling off is what there looking for , its a bitch but i did mine in just under 2 weeks , (we had a few rainy days) then ride it like you normally would till 1000 , then do the first service , there should be a check list in the manual , or on line , thats by the book , there are a lot of ideas from other people , but its your bike , they will not pay for a rebuild if it goes wrong , you will . also warm the engine up properly first , take things very easy for the first 10 minutes , and do not let it sit idling for to long either . hope this helps
