Default Electrical gremlin in turn signal... help!

Got my new-to-me '07 Fat Boy back from the shop yesterday. I noticed -- again -- that if the turn signal is on after maybe 20 seconds, BOTH arrows on the console start blinking instead of just the one for the direction I was turning. I also noticed a vague plastic-burning electrical smell. This happened the first day I got the bike -- two weeks ago.

I sure don't want to end up on the side of the road somewhere far away. Has anyone else experienced this? This is a F.I. 96" motor with custom turn signal lights...

Those elc gremlins are usually nasty little buggers to find.

Check the grounds off the turn signal module while the signals are operating. Look for pinched wires (have you changed the bars or controls?). Burnt plastic smell is never good.

Just read the "custom turn signal lights" I'd start there.
