Shorter shocks vs. air shocks
I was thinking about putting some shorter shocks on my Road King to lower it an inch and was wondering how the ride would compare to the factory air shocks. Do the air shocks make a huge difference as far as ride smoothness, vibration damping, etc., particularly when it comes to passenger comfort? The Road King is definitely smoother than my Dyna was but I'm not sure how much of that, if any, is related to the shocks.

I changed my air shocks to some Progressive 940s.
The progressives are night and day better.
They lowered my bike 5/8 of an inch. I believe they make a shorter version for the Street Glide size that you can also use.
