THERE WILL BE THOUSANDS OF MOTORCYCLE ESCORTING 2 22' LONG STEEL BEAMS (THAT CAME FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER) FROM RICHMOND TO INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA. THEY WILL BE CREATING A MEMORIAL IN INDIANAPOLIS FOR THOSE HEROS LOST ON 9/11.

JUST THOUGHT I WOULD PASS THIS ALONG TO ANY AREA RIDERS THAT WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THIS GREAT EVENT!!!

I would assume they will take I80 through Ohio? If so, any idea when they would pass by the Cleveland area? I would like to take my sons to sit on an overpass as they go by.

 

i was just looking around the sight and it seems the beams were or will be flown to somewhere in PA and it looks like they are going through c-bus, so must be taking I-70. the beams are staying overnight in dayton, oh on friday.


just heard on the local news they are expecting between 7500 and 10,000 bikes to escort the beams to indy!!! as long as the weather and other plans holds off im gonna ride in this for sure. they said they are shutting down I-70, because they are going to be running 40-45 mph because of all the flags that will be flying that day! this will be something to watch thats for sure!

 

Kind of late notice for me, but if I can swing it I will ride up there. I would love to be apart of that.

Not sure, but it says in here they will trucked from NY. (mid way down).

 

I put one on this in here last Saturday so others could plan for it..

 

They are picking them up at a hanger in New York with the truck. They left Indy today with the truck.

 

opps, just reread the events sections again, i guess that was the organizers were flying into JFK and are loading the beams at hanger 18 at JFK...

its gonna be crazy busy in downtown richmond that day, make sure everyone is here early, i'd say by 9. should be able to keep busy until kickstands up!



EDIT: they are asking all bikers enter town by state route 27... there is a harley shop, Harley-Davidson Center, just south of I-70 once you are off the highway on the right hand side of the road. just info for any t-shirt collectors coming
