All I've ever gotten was 1 lane blow jobs.

Didn't even know there was 2 lane ones .....feel like I've been cheated !!

Recently had my RG get blown into the next lane twice by some wicked winds & thunderstorms that came into East Tenn. about a month ago. Turned the bike around and went back home then called work & called out due to the violent wind conditions. I work out of town (150 miles)so that was the most sensible choice at the time.

A neighbor of mine said he got blown nearly into the next lane crossing a bridge in New Jersey last summer. He rides a Fat Boy with the mostly solid rim and the small holes. Probably more due to his inexperience and maybe the solid rims contributed to it, but I would not know if that affected it or not. I have been in 40mph gusts on the interstate doing 70mph on my 09 Street Glide and it only moved me a foot at most. I did have my wife with me and bags were packed so we were pretty heavy weight wise at the time. I am a trim slim 250lbs, LOL.

Without reading this whole thread, this is what happened to my lady and myself, heading to Sturgis in 2006. We had left at midnight, and sat out a severe thunderstorm in eastern SD. Once we were on the road again, we hit the back of the storm as we turned south to go to Chamberlain. Cresting a curve at the top of the hills north of Chamberlain, a wind gust blew us completely over into the other lane. If a car would have been coming, I wouldn't be typing this now. My lady still talks about the time she thought she was gonna die....that's how bad it was.

To add insult to injury, coming into Chamberlain, pulling up to a stop sign, another wind gust blew us over onto our left side, fortunately only to the crash bars. A couple of teenagers in the car behind us helped us get the bike up, and before we got remounted it immediately went down again. There is a lot of mass on a touring bike to catch the wind, especially a side wind.

It was the worst wind I ever drove in, and I'm been riding since 1967.
