Two Lane Blow Job

You got that right. I've ridden many time on Western I-40 and had to stop until it started getting dark before I could continue. 35 to 40 mph wind gust are not unusual.

Worst time of year is now in the spring, no leaves or foliage to slow down the wind? Normally only a foot or so of movement, had one ride last year that was so dammed windy I got off the highway and took the back roads. Riding across 435/470 from west to east in the afternoon with a south wind can be less that pleasing..........

Yah me either but...I spent a lot of time in the Keys and sometimes crossing those bridges would get a little funny if you were not ready for those wind gust..Rode to Nashville yesterday,it was damn windy everyone was doing the speed limit cause of the wind..

My Dyna feels like a tank in the wind compared to what I used to ride. I had a KLR650. It was tall, leggy, and light. It was like riding a sail down the road on a windy day. I could deal with sustained wind okay, but the gusts could get you killed.

Riding across the JFK causeway in Corpus Christi I was blown from the right lane into the left lane from a cross wind at the top of the bridge. Talk about a serious pucker factor. The wind was at my back until I hit the top of that big azz bridge.
