The riding season where you are?

Several said year round in AZ. That applies to the Flatlands....Phoenix, Tucson etc. You can lose several weeks up in the Mountains up around Flagstaff due to snow. I live at 5,500 feet and can pretty much ride all year except for the occasional snow and ice.
It does get down into the twenty's and lower (some single digit days) for about 2 months. Otherwise it's great and don't have the killer summer heat that the Flatlanders do. Plenty of great rides in this part of the country. From the Grand Canyon to the CA coast and the Desert can be beautiful after the rains when all the Cactus start to bloom.

>>The only concern I have about California (that I don't have about any where else) is emissions.<<
You can build one SPCN bike (in your lifetime) in California without meeting any smog or emissions standards. Any more than that and the state considers you a manufacturer. But you can put the second one in your old lady's name! LOL! If you bring a bike into California (that's a 49 state bike) without the emissions crap on it, it's cool, as long as there's 7,500 miles on the odometer. If you're at less than that on the clock then it just takes a drill motor and your wits!
And I'm not sure why you said, "But, anywhere else?" Arizona, in the metro areas at least, are now smog testing motorcycles. So do several other states. Plus lot's of states have annual inspections and that sticker crap. None of that here in California! All we have to deal with is year round riding, and blonds with bit **** . . . LOL!

Year round here in San Diego except occasional bouts of rain from Dec to April. Great roads, great scenery. Downside is there is a reason California is called the land of fruits and nuts and dont forget that we have a international border just 20 minutes away from downtown.

If you aren't politically crippled by the thought of living in California (which is stupid as we have every aspect of American life here from red neck to hippie) you'll realize you can ride every day and also why the Beach Boys never wrote a song about New Jersey LOL . . .
Didn't they sing "Well, east coast girls are hip, I really dig those styles they wear."?

And I believe that means they wished that the girls from the rest of the country and the world could have been in CA which is where they were stuck. The only thing they liked about CA girls, according to the song anyway was that they are cute.

Live in PA about 1 hour 15 minutes north of harrisburg. I'd say the season goes from Mid April to Late October/Early November. So 6 or 7 months depending.
