Default Why poly handle bar bushings?

I am still running my stock rubber bushings and I have no vibration issues so what is the advantage of poly bushings? Even after I wrecked my bike on the freeway and folded my bars I just put some 16" apes on and tightened them up and I was good to go. Maby I don't have enough miles to see a need yet.

does take awhile but you will see what happens especially with the 16 apes on it.. mine were fine till I put 16's on mine then they needed tightening every other month or so finally replaced them and good to go..

For mine with 16" apes it wasn't a vibration issue as much a wiggle back and forth feeling during accel/decel. Rubber made the bars feel too loose.

If I have to tighten them 5-10 thousand then I will replace them with poly but so far so good. Thanks for the input. I only asked because I have no vibration and they stay tight.

Same here. Hate the wiggle, even with the 12.5" one's I have. If I ever consider going any taller, it's poly bushings. I couldn't imagine the wiggle with stock rubber bushings and 16" apes.

The rubber bushings dry out & crack in 2-3 years. The polys just keep on going....

I guess i'm just lucky cause mine are 4 years old with 84,000 miles on them and only tightened them twice.
