Novelty **** helmet I bought for 20 bucks that is 7 years old. It is safety certified by the government of Pakistan to be black in color.

Usually a polo type brain bucket. I do not use a windshield and the rear lip of the helmet hits the top of the collar on my jacket to keep it from slipping back from the wind catching the front. Is there a DOT 1/2 that will not slip back and strap choke me?

Snell FF if it's cold enough but that seldom happens here in FL. The rest of the time I don't wear one.

I use the Harley half face, it was a little pricey but is actually very comfortable and doesn't tend to lift like some others I've used. I live on the RI (choice) and MA (helmet required) border so it's almost a given that I'll cross from one state to the other any time I go out and this helmet is comfortable enough that I'd just as soon leave it on.

30 years as an EMT & having wrecked my 1st bike, I wear a DOT helmet all the time. When I have transported injured bikers to the hospital I have always taken the helmet to show the docs the forces of impact to the head of their patient. I was in a head on collision last year in my Jeep & still suffered a severe concussion just from the airbag deployment. That was more than enough dain bramage for me.

Yeah, me too. I dont have to wear one in PA but I sometimes put on the novelty **** helmet cause it looks cool. Not many people wear helmets here in PA. Pretty much 90% of the bikers here ride lidless. Not smart but F**k it. If its your time its your time.

My opinion - If you have to wear a helmet it might as well be a good one. DOT or none for me.
