Default Think it’s the battery?

I have a ’10 SG that I bought over a year ago and do not have a dealer close to where I live(Germany). The bike cranked kinda slow this morning so I watched the volt meter. While idling, the needle was right over 12 and when moving (engine revving) it hung around 14. When I stopped it went back down to 12. I just had issues with my car acting the same way, and it was the battery. I think I will change the battery out before it completely dies on me. Both vehicles were shipped in early December and I picked them up mid February. Just started riding a couple of weeks ago since the snow is finally gone. The car took about 3 weeks before the battery died. It is coming up to that same 3 week mark with the bike. Don’t know what it is, but it is consistent.
Has this happened to anyone else or does it sound like the battery is about to go “kaputt”

My guess is that it's been sitting around for quite awhile without being charged. Buy a battery tender and put that on it.

You really should consider a Battery Tender and keep it plugged in while not riding. Especially in the Winter months.

Get the battery fully charged and have it load tested.

There are plenty of dealers in Germany, but if they're anything like the ones in Belgium and in the U.S. they suck. I've added a link to the Germany Dealers around Ramstein.

Thanks for all the information. I will try the battery tender then take it in to be load tested.

Have not been here long, I guess I should get out and check out some of these HD stealers, I mean dealers.
