Yeah, mine works great. Reads either 60 or 82'. Indispensable.

Oil temp guage went in the dash for me. I will gladly sell my old one for $25,000 so I can go buy a new one.

I look at mine and if the needle gets to the left of center, I put my jacket on. When it gets over 100 degrees, I try to stop more often for a beer.

It was the cheapest thing MoCo could come up with to fill the 4th hole in the fairing - without a doubt

mine is actually very accurate - for whats that's worth

though mine has a bit of fog in it on a cold start, then clears later

The HD engineers placed that guage in there knowing that a lot of the buyers would replace it with a more expensive oil temp guage.

Is it a mystery of the ages?
My question to add to this is, where is the sensor or does it just sense off the rear side of the guage within the fairing??

Come to think of it, had an OIL TEMP guage really ever affected your ride? Have you ever not ridden because of what it read? Or do you run it just to monitor just in case for some reason it inexplicably started to rise?

Maybe its just fun to watch in traffic jams.
