Weather, time and usage has long since retired my stock horn. First, tried one from Howards air horns, with a built-in compressor. Mounted per instructions, it soon rubbed a hole in itself (from the mounting bracket), making it useless. Next, another from Wolo, which failed right out of the box. Steibel is no better. After a couple more attempts with aftermarket stuff, finally bought the loudest electric car horn that they had at the auto parts store and tucked it under the cowbell cover. After this, the next sound you hear from me will involve gunfire.

I recently installed a Pro Pad Mini Beast and I am very happy with it. It is sufficiently loud and it really was plug and play. I am not mechanically inclined and it took me about 15 minutes. And part of that time was moving things around to get at the battery. There were complaints about the durability of the older Mini Beasts. A number of people had the bracket break off. But the new ones seem very sturdy. Best price I found was Biker Hiway through Amazon. Go for it.

I put a Stebel Nautilus on my scoot when the stock horn went bad. Loud as hell, though a bit high pitched. Sounds kinda like a European sports car horn. Only downside is that it requires some rewiring and a relay to handle the extra current that it takes to sound it.

Stebel Nautilus = Wolo bad Boy = all Pro Pad Mini Beast & MB II. Also Kuryakyn now markets it under their name too.

They are all the same horns either plain or with covers. I have MB II's on my bikes & they are great.

Rivco air horns, you will not be disappionted, it will be the last air horn you'll have to put on your bike.

My Stebel Nautilus is really loud and not the same as a Wolo. it does require the installation of a relay. Istallation takes about an hour on a Softail.

My bike had the HD air horn on it when I bought it. It's sufficiently loud, too loud for me. It is extremely ugly though. list of winter mods found the horn on the shelf. I'll probably go back to stock, if you can't hear my pipes then I'm probably screwed anyway!!
