Default Stolen or hard up for cash?

This guy seems really adamant to sell this RK in a hurry. He has posted several times on CraigsList over the past few days:

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/mcy/2278640776.html

Question is, at $2800.00, is this legit?

its a scam. I always assume that with a price that low it is a scam. Call him and see whats up though, never know. Just dont hand over any money without the bike being there and a clean title in hand.

My guess is that when you contact him he'll say that he's selling it for his boss or relative and will ask you to wire a payment to Europe for it. A few years ago someone on ebay did that to me when I was looking to pick up a rolling chassis and I've heard it's a pretty common scam.

Most definitely a scam. If it was actually legit, he would never had to post it more than once.

He could roll it into a dealer and get more than that for it.

Scam.

I've seen similar ads in the Boston area with the email Photoshopped into the image, similar stupid price too. It's gotta be a new scam.

Yep its a scam. You will get an email stating to either wire money overseas .. or .. he is overseas and will send you a check to cover shipping, he needs you to deposit the check, you get to keep a thousand (for your troubles) and you send the rest back to him, the check is fake, if you deposit it the scam artist gets his/her money, and after the check is discovered as fake, the bank wants their money back from you.

The other scam is that the bike is in another state, they want to complete the deal through an Ebay secure site (which they claim will hold the money until the bike gets delivered to you), they will even send you a "real looking" ebay link to pay the money through.

Its all a huge scam, you see it with cars and trucks all the time on craigslist

An obvious scam. Just for the hell of it I inquired about a Jeep for sale on Craigslist that should have listed for about 15k and they were asking 2800.00. I get an email back saying that they were in the military about to ship out and that they needed to get rid of the Jeep asap. Funny thing is that the Jeep was advertised in Philly PA and the email said they were stationed in Alaska. I knew it was BS just wanted to see what kind of nonsense story theyd come up with. There are tons of these on craigslist. Sad thing is that some people actually fall for it. C'mon wise up people! If it's to good to be true its a scam.

brings that old adage to mind..... if it's too good to be true - then it probably is

Respond and give them everything they want. It's legit. Then post pics when you get the bike! Can't wait to see it in your garage!

Wish I could find a deal like that!
