Default Stupid people running red lights

My riding season might have ended yesterday afternoon about 3:30PM. I was up in the town of Hanover checking out the Holy Cross / Dartmouth football game. Then I left the area where the game was and headed to main st. I had the Green arrow to turn and this lady in a BWM never stopped ( who had the read light and was speeding) I hit my breaks and felt the bike starting to drop. I pulled it up quickly and in the proceess of that I sprained my ankle pretty bad and twisted my back.

Today I am in a pain , the Doctor said I will be sore for days and I have a nice styling ankle brace I get to wear for 4 to 6 weeks.

Dude, running red lights and stop signs is a sport in my 'hood. You're one lucky biker that you're not being prepped for viewing tomorrow.

Ride Safe..Look out for everything.

Yep, had that crap yesterday. Was headed to my aunt's gun shop with my dad (in town from Colorado Springs), and our light turned green, FOUR cars ran through the red light/left turn in front of me!!! The amazing thing is that intersection has photo lights! Obviously not turned on though, and the people knew it......

I'm not one from more government control over our activities, but I for one appreciate photo lights. I personally think more stiff penalties should be assessed when you run them too! There's NOTHING on this planet that is THAT important that waiting another 3 minutes for the next light!!!! [:'(]

Red light runners should be treated like DUIs. Lose your license for 6 months 1st time, and getting to felony status w/repeats. I feel for ya - had to do that myself years ago so I know that pain. Glad you were not hit at least.

Observed the flip side of this on Friday, the light turned red for me and oncoming traffic.Out of the stopped traffic,a Dyna sweeps ino the left turn lane and comes straight through the intersection, after the light was red for a least 3 seconds. Not a young kid riding,no colors on his jacket(no offense intended). It was scary to watch,as this happened at Jacksonville's worst intersection for accidents,Blanding Bl. at Wells Rd..Anyone from this area knows this intersection is to be avoided at rush hour at all costs.

Too bad about your ankle, but it sure as hell beats being t-boned by that bone head. I believe the red light running is getting worse. It's as if the morons who do that believe that the light has to be red for a while to count. When the light turns green I look both ways now. People are getting more irresponsible as time goes on.
