Anyone know where I can get some pre-jungle boot, black zig-zag sole combat boots?
After I processed out (1977) I tossed 2 duffle bags of uniforms and boots in the dumpster bbefore I even left the post. I shoulda kept the boots.

Combat Touring Boot - nothing to do with the military, just the best moto boot out there. I have the tall ones but they make a shorter "light" boot as well.

Every pair of boots I have owned that fit right always felt good when I rode with the exception of making my feet hot. Very few of them sob's felt good walking. I have some expensive name brand boots in the closet and they don't feel better but they cost a lot more. I actually started buying light weight lace up leather boots at Academy and I am satisfied. Under a hundred dollars, long lasting, and fairly comfortable. They aren't good tennis shoes but they protect my feet/ankles and they look right going down the road on the bike. Comfort, protection, and price.

Cruiserworks are great for walking around on. Like walking on air. No kidding.

I'm moving towards hiking boots. Rugged and much more comfortable, particularly off the bike. I just picked up a pair of mid-cut, composite toe Wolverines on the Internet for $40 with free shipping. Normally sell for $70.

Red Wing 2268's since I was a kid, but don't think they make them anymore, just the crap from China...

Chippewa Black Laced up Loggin boots!! They are heavey but strong and extremly durable. They also have a high back heel that takes some getting used to but offers a couple of inches extra height for us smaller fellas( I'm 5'9) Lol... They usually run for about $179 around these parts!
