I have the heritage and my son has the wide glide. Neither of us would trade for the other. Personal opinion means a lot.

You should go with the wide glide because if you can't spell softail you don't deserve one.

I had a Heritage that I heavily customized with Fatboy fenders, drag bars, solo seat etc. I really enjoyed the bike. Just recently got a '11 wide glide that I love. The bike fits me perfectly and I have never enjoyed riding more. It's kinda like your favorite pair of boots- can't describe why they fit so good, they just do.

Ummm, maybe some people want to hear others opinions on different bikes, and experiences....
I for one have rode neither, and am interested in the responses...
As I am positive my mommy would not have an opinion either way...

My dad had a heritage for years while I had the wideglide. I liked the wideglide but if you were going to do so touring I personally think the heritage is already setup perfect. Takes alot more $ to get the wideglide to the same level. Bags, shield ect.

I would go with the Softail if price is not an issue for you.
