1969 BSA Starfire. It was big, orange, loud, and slower 'n Molasses in Minnesota. It was the bike I learned to ride on, self taught BTW. But it was the bike that made me the badass mufuh I am today. It was the bike that got me more women than any Harley I have owned since. It was the bike that pissed off my neighbors more than anything. It was the bike that ate my entire bank account ($290) and THEN some. It was the bike whose oil I never even CHECKED the entire time I owned it (hey, whaddid I know; it was 1972) It was the bike I never told my mom that I owned (I was keeping it for a friend) It was the bike that started me reading Easyriders. It was the bike that made me start looking more & more like I stepped out of a Dave Mann centerfold. It was the bike that made "The Wild One" my favorite movie. And,
sadly,
It was the bike I enjoyed more than ANY other bike I ever owned, including the gorgeous Fatboy that I now ride.
1997 Kawasaki ZX7R Bought salvaged on whim. Ended up rebuilding a lot of the bike but man could it haul ***. Awesome for 19 year old PVT. Ahhh memories....
