I hear ya BUT if he did go from a 55 Million dollar loss to a 146 Million dollar profit he deserved what he got in my opinion! People whined when GM and Chrysler got bail outs too! Look at them both now? GM paid back its debt AND made a profit..Their vehicles are better than ever. Chrysler's new partner Fiat seems to be doing a nice job already so its all good in my book-I NEVER wanted to see Toyota rule the U.S. market!!! I want ALL these American based/owned companies to prosper!! Sure I know it hurt but think what all the workers at the plants Ford had to shut down closing out Mercury! You have to be willing to take the pain/bashing you will get in order to save the company!

I think how funny it is you guy's say don't hate the CEO for making what he does let a man get what he is worth then turn around and bash union for getting what they can. The union and CEO get paid the same way. By making a deal.

A-Roid on the Yankees gets 25m a year...6.4m seems like a deal to me..IF things continue to improve-i'm sure it will trickle down. And no Jersey i'm sure we won't..If they survive and prosper i'll be happy-won't NEED a 'thank you' card! I'm sure the workers aren't starving at 20-35 bucks an hour!!

His(ARoid that is) toughest decision is what star does he wanna date!! (Cameron Diaz-damn...) The CEO of HD had to drop two brands and still make over a 50% profit over 2009! Don't ya think it was a job well done??

How many workers either lost their jobs or some/many of their benefits to keep their jobs which in turn added positively to the bottom line which added to HIS INCOME in the way of higher dividends?

I'd fire everyone I KNOW to make 6.4 million, he's really just figuring out how to make the bottom line better so HE can make more...go him!

Harley-Davidson Inc. CEO Keith Wandell received compensation valued at $6.4 million in 2010, up 1 percent from 2009, when the executive spent only eight months on the job.

That's according to an Associated Press analysis of data filed with regulators Friday by the Milwaukee motorcycle manufacturer.

Stock and option awards totaling $3.02 million and a performance-based cash bonus of $2.3 million accounted for most of Wandell's compensation.

Harley reported a $146.5 million profit in 2010, compared with a $55.1 million loss in 2009.

The AP calculation aims to isolate the value that company boards place on CEOs' total compensation packages. It includes salary, bonus, incentives, perks and the estimated value of stock options and awards.

Unions are organized crime in action that use threats to achieve thier end goals...the CEO is an individual. BIG difference.
