H-D CEO $6.4 Million

Man paid his dues.
That's why you are SUPPOSED to go to college, gents.
If you didn't go....and don't have ****.....whose fault is that? go look in the mirror.
In a FREE country, NO ONE gets to decide "you have enough".....you can have as much as you are willing to WORK for.
Problem is, it's human nature to be a lazy fk. Want something for nothing, and want the government to make things right...i.e. take from the rich (who earned it by working for it, and playing the game) and give it to those who were "too cool for school"...when they were 18 and knew everything.
I put myself through school....and others were watching the game and having fun, while I studied. If I'm in better shape than them now.....I've earned it.
And I'll remind them of it too!

College doesn't guarantee anything, just helps smooth the trip. What does make the difference is the desire and willingness to push yourself beyond the limits you self impose on yourself. Most of the CEO's are high energy, forward thinking, and typically have a vision that they are following.

lol wtf does anyone care what he made?
i'm not him and won't see a dime of HIS hard earned 6 mil so i'm not gonna worry about the nice deposit he made at the bank, good for him.
and i'm just assuming that the thread was started because of the astronomical sum he was paid for doing HIS JOB, but fwiw that's a relatively LOW bonus for a CEO of a major company
i've gotten a taste of what it's like to run a company (my own personal training company, consisting of a grand total of 4 employees) the last two years and it's stressful and time consuming and the dude does it for a multinational corporation, and managed to swing profits 200 million into the black...
i hope he charlie sheened it up when he got his check.

One guy makes $6.4 million dollars plus per year, and some one soon will say how the union workers are sucking all the money away from the company. What about all the other non union managers and higher ups salaries? When people complain how much something costs, that's where they should start looking, Not at the guy on the line making $15 -$25 an hour. 10 workers combined in their lifetime, won't make what the CEO make in a year. just sayin.,,,

Way over paid, no one should make that kind of money while the people that work their butts off to keep any company going get the smelly end of the stick. That profit should have been distributed to the employees, they earned it, and it would certainly boost the morale of all concerned.

I hear you on that one. I was begining to think that HD forum was very socialist. The man earned it and from what I have read seemed like he has paid his dues. IN the USA making $$$ is supposed to be the mark of success, but yet I have read that NO ONE deserves that kind of money and give it to the employess; you cant get any more Socialist than that!
If I were in his shoes, I would be getting more. I negotiate a work contract every year and I fight for every nickel dime and penny.
AS someone else said on this thread, and I am not sure if he was knowingly paraphrasing Karl Marx, but he wrote ever so correctly; We all sell our time!!! THis post hit the nail on the head! That IS what it is about. So if your pissed that you not making enough do something about it. We are all the masters of our own destiny and tomorrow is promise to no one. Make hay while the sun shines. JMO

Look at Alan Mullaly with Ford.. He came from Boeing I believe and sold off: Jaguar,Aston Martin,Volvo,Land Rover and discontinued Mercury AND a controlling interest in Mazda. Shored up their credit/financial arm and look where they are! I bet he couldn't spell 'Ford' before he came on board as CEO! NO bailout and doing fine-thank you very much. Not sure what his salary is per year but like Wandell-he's apparently worth it!! Guess you don't have to be IN the business to be good AT the business....
