Got yelled at by a Road Admiral
I was coming home from registering/insuring the new - to me- RKC.
I was humming along the 15 heading north when I see a group of bikes getting on the on-ramp. The group was comprised of about 10 bikes. The head guy/admiral/captain merged ahead of me as I was in the fast lane and he in #1 lane. I moved over to #3 lane and sped up a little. The admiral in his flourescent crossing guard vest moved over into #2 and I started moving up so I would not merge into their group.
As I got next to the admiral he looked over with a ticked off look[:@] and gestered with his left hand to "get to the back now"[:@]
Huh?
Im not even in their group. He honked and gestered to get back. I shrugged my shoulders and kept going.
He might've mistaken me for a rider in his group.
BTW:
Those in Kalifornia registering out of state bikes I reccomend to go join AAA. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I filled out the 343 form, she came out and read the vin and engine # and that was that.
The bike has over 7500 miles and was easily registered. No problems. Got my plate and sticker and I was on my way.

I am often amazed at bikers that think they own the road, especially when riding in a group. I can't understand the mentality of 20 or 30 bikes going down the road so close that no one can pass, especially on two lane highways, and then getting pissed when someone tries and has to duck into the middle of them. In my opinion groups should leave reasonable spaces for other vehicles to pass safely.

Its a problem here too, there was a guy ran over by a car (not serious just knocked his bike over) as he attempted to block the intersection for his group to leave a resturant.

That's funny! If you decide to take Bill's advice, just make sure there are no HA or Mongol patches on the "Road Admiral's" back before you express your self

Yeah, I've seen that here in NY also. If the guy on the bike is blocking traffic with a blue suit, gun and a bike with a rotating red light, he can do whatever he wants with traffic. Otherwise, it is only a courtesy to stop (which I usually do) but you're under no obligation to.

I think you do have an obligation not to run over the guy.
