Default Flashing Brake Legal?

Just installed LED brake and signal lights on my bike. Love the look.

Brake light has the option to flash a couple of times before going steady. Seems like a good attention getter - but is it legal?

There are several manufacture's that sell brake light flashing modules. I have had Signal dynamic on my bike for many years. Only stopped once in Ohio, cop asked me where I got it because he wanted one for his bike.

I've been using http://hyperlites.com/ for over 10 years without any issues...Personally,I would use them even if they were illegal. As far as I know, only California has any laws on the books regarding these and Hyperlites has addressed that issue with a "California" version.

All the sheriffs around here and FHPs run them so I would say yes where I live. But you can call your local leo and they will let you know where you are. They sell red and blue neons here in florida, but they are illegal to have on while riding, but you can run any other color and have on while riding.

I've had the Kury Panacea blinking tail light for about 4 years and love it. When you press the rear brake the rear brake flashes 3 times and also makes the turn signals come on for even more brightness/attention.

Not legal in Ohio but even the police have them on their personal bikes.

GO for it dude.
Hell, I don't have a modulator, but my brake light flashes when I want it to.

BAL-1 for me, I'll take a chance on getting a ticket for better visability.

Not legal in VA. Just have to reset them to nonflash mode prior to getting state inspection. Screwy law IMHO.

My 06 RoadKing Custom had a LED light from the showroom floor that flashed 3 times each time it was applied. This was a Harley accessory that came with the bike but I am not sure whether the dealer (Century Harley) or the factory had installed it. I wish that this rear light was on my 09 RK Classic. I was never stopped for that light flashing, but during rush hour stop and go traffic, it is possible for that light to almost constantly flash, depends on how many times you hit the brakes and how long of a time period between the brake application. They are definately brighter though.
