I thought they worked it out, but I guess they are still having trouble agreeing on a price for town beach. They may move event to Springfield Ma. I wish they would move to Vermont, pretty riding then Springfield.

The D.E.C. should help SPONSER the event if anything... Promote the Adirondacks, Tourism, Preservation etc. The government agencies should start acting like businesses...not parasites.

 

Greed! no one needs that much rent for a week. I can tell you one thing, Lake George needs the Americade more then the Americade needs Lake George. Case and point, I will go to the Ameicade regardless of where it is. Driving to Lake George or Springfield is the same distance for me. Although Springfielsd is a high crime area, not what I would call a vacation spot.

2009 - $52,000
2010 - $71,000 36% Increase
2011 - $82,000 15% Increase
2012 - $95,000 or more????

Americade is the biggest touring rally in the northeast. I live 50 miles from Laconia and I would rather go to this one.This is a rally for all bikes, not just Harley, although there are a lot of Harleys there.
