Lean it up against your buddys bike.

I'd feel like a real *** for thinking about just how stupid this question is because of how unlikely it is for that to happen.
Then I'd get on line, search for this thread and apologize for this post.

I always carry a block of wood with me for just such an occasion. Or to throw at texting cagers. NOT

I DID lose my entire kick stand assembly several years ago. The bike was only about a year old. Rode around for a couple of weeks leaning it against trees & buildings until my new one came in.

+1. I once had a sportster that I took to the dealer to have some clutch work done. When I got home, the kickstand was gone. I carefully leaned the bike against a tree while I went inside and called the dealer, who pretty much said, "It's not lying on our drive, so too bad..." That's when I rode it to an independent shop in town for a new kickstand and spring, and I never spent another dime at the dealership. (I use past tense because the dealershiop folded last year and was bought out by a competitor)

I have a center stand so that is not a worry to me
