Default To helmet or not to helmet,

.......this WAS NOT the question.

I was simply asking IF YOU WOULD or IF YOU WOULDN'T ?

I too also believe in the right to decide for yourself.

Sorry that my curiosity started such a "poop storm".

Another twist on this question. I am still checking on the issue but our HR dept. told me that if I am in an accident health insurance benefits through our insurance can be reduced. Anyone hear of this? Not sure how this can be since in my state, Ohio, helmets are not required after the first year.

Does this sound possible? Anyone else hear of this? Still trying to find out the details as this could be a quick way to bankruptcy.

I know in NC a law was passed stating that the insurance companies can't reduce your benefits due to riding a motorcycle. We are a helmet mandated state. I think but am not sure that the federal guberment passed a similar law as well.

I wear a helmet all the time, even in state that say I don't have to.

If someone wants to start a helmet thread, so what? You don't have to read them. Should someone not start another thread on pipes?

If anyone can find a link to this information it would be much appreciated. I am googling the issue now.

Scared me thinking that if in a wreck I would have my benefits reduced to 50%.

Thanks in advance.

Would you?

Even though I wear my helmet wherever I ride, and feel that people who do not wear helmets should wear them, I would not assume to impose my values of safety and common sense upon them.
