I bought the Daytona lid and it's the closest I've found.

Iv'e got a HCI-100 and a outlaw skull cap, both DOT, both nice helmets but I have to say the outlaw is a tad smaller, the wife wears a HJC IS-2 with the retractable sun sheild that she loves, the HJC is a little bigger physical size but looks a lot more comfy than the other two.

It's between the Daytona skull cap and the Outlaw. I like the that the Daytona has 4 different shell sizes.

different strokes for different heads I guess. I bought a Daytona based on all the raving here.... hated it. Won't stay on my head at speed. Skid Lid worked much better for my noggin... and its smaller than the Daytona.

the bad thing is even trying them on in a store isn't a sure thing, you gotta ride with it to see how it does in the wind.

Ya, that's a good point. Atleast, they aren't that expensive so if you don't like one it doesn't hurt that bad buying the other. Buying a half heltmet isn't like buying a $500 Shoei.

yeah you are correct. the bad thing is that over the years I have collected 9-10 helmets. I have 3 that I alternate, the others just sit on the shelf because they don't fit right or my tastes have changed. I can't bring myself to just toss them out, and they're not really something to put up for sale.
