Do you cover it for the 8 or so hours you are away from it? I am considering it just because of the numerous low-flying, super-aiming birds!

If you do, what cover do you use? I would need to fit it in the saddle bag.

A standard cover for your bike should fit in your saddle bag... Only problem, you have to wait for the bike to cool down before you put the cover on...

I've been riding my bike to work for years and don't cover it. But I make sure I don't park it under anything a bird can sit on and take a crap on my bike. I also don't park it near the grass/shrubs in case the landscapers decide to do some work.

Why cover it at work? Would you cover it in the WalMart parking lot? How about the barber shop? I never cover any of the bikes. Birds can crap on it while you are riding. Maybe we should have them covered while riding? Do you cover your car? What's the difference if bird doodoo gets on the bike or the car? It hoses off.

you may want to try a ½ cover...no need to wait for cool down.

I do the Same..but this past year they moved our "mandated" motorcycle parking near a grass island and the landscaping company was warned that any damage done to the bikes that park there will be charged back to said company! So far they have been very good about making sure they don't have anything come/headed towards the motorcycles...

ME TOO - AND - if it rains I'll use a company car for the commute
The past 3 years had to leave it at work twice - been rained on (soaked) once!
