Thinking of retiring from the AF and going to MMI for Harley's
#21
First, congrats on your retirement.
Now, I can't speak for the rest of the country, but here in the south I've seen at least 4 independent shops close within the last 12 months for lack of work. That leaves the wrenches that worked or owned those shops scrambling around looking for work at the any remaining indy shops or a Dealership. And Harley doesn't seem concerned about 'em by denying genuine Harley parts to be sold to any indy shop's.
But hey, I applaud your willingness to give it a shot. I would, however, suggest you ask around and get an idea of your employment opportunities once you get out of MMI, Wyotech, etc. in the part of the country you're looking at settling down.
Damn, I'm starting to sound like an old curmudgeon as I get older.

Enjoy your retirement. When you do start a new life your going to be surprised.
You know all those hours you work out here they pay you for them.
It takes a bit to get use to it enjoy no madder what you do.
