I have thought about it allot, especially when I'm on the chitter
. Over the years I've decided they put it there just cause it looks cool and it's always been there since the intro of the cone Motor.
I've also thought about using it for storage but couldn't think of anything to put in there. Now that you have suggested spare Cam Chain tensioner shoes I think that is the best idea I've heard yet.
But...Of Course......I'm thinking of switching to gear drives so then I won't have a reason to put the shoes in there. I don't do drugs so I can't keep a stash in there. Well I guess I could but it really wouldn't do me any good.
Just the other morning I was thinkin bout it and thought it might be a good place to hide a bullet for my pistol just in case. But if I'm in a situation where I need one more bullet I'm probably gonna need it in a hurry and it would take too long to get it out of there!

In case those who have not taken the timer cover off and are curious whats behind it.

Now I'm gonna have to put a round in there and go do some hard ridin just so's I can see if it gets hot enough to actually light one off.
Thanks allot............Any excuse to ride is a good one and this is just as good as any I've heard lately.

........ i think the likelihood of cross threading the cover screws would increase dramatically post-doob. Better to use a glovebox .....
