Default Hot Toppers,bolt covers.

I came across these nut/bolt covers when looking for something to cover the heads, has anybody used these,if so how did you find them and did you like the look, or did they just look cheap?, if so any recommendations would be welcome, thanks.

All the bolts on my chopper were covered with chrome hot toppers. They look good, you don't get rust in the heads and they're cheaper than chrome (or SS) bolts.
This being said, you'll have to put a dab of silicone before you put them on, so that you won't lose some of them. Consequently, it can be a PITA to take them off when you wrench on your bike.
You have to lift them with a thin blade (razor for example) or grab them with pliers after you wrapped them with a rag. Takes time.
Some dealers and independent mechanics will tell you to take them off before you bring the bike cause they don't want to deal with them.

By the way, Hot Toppers claims to replace the lost ones for free but I haven't tried.

I had the Hot Toppers on my last bike, they're great, no problems, follow instructions and your good. Going to get some for the bike I have now but haven't decided if I want chrome or black. BTW Harley sells a simular product, but don't buy it, cost about the same but is made in China not USA and no guarantee.

I have had 'em on two bikes and loved em. Never used silicone figuring if I lost one I would try the "get replacements for free" from them. Never lost one...

I did my bike with hot toppers over the winter. Best prices I found are on CCI.

Put the Hot Toppers on years ago. Good product and one of the little details that make a nice improvement in how the bike looks. Rarely use silicon and only have lost a few (which were easily replaced) over the years.
