Default Looking for a bag reccomentation

I'm looking for sissy bar/backrest bag to hang off the back of my RK (solo setup) or Ultra when I have the tourpak off. It should be big enough to hold 2-3 days worth of stuff and a 1/2 helmet. The idea is, I want to use this for weekend trips and if need be check it on a plane of I'm going to be riding on a business trip, so I gotta fit the helmet, jacket, change of jeans and underwear - you get the idea.

I'm not looking for "super cheap" and willing to pay a bit to get something that will last forever. At the same time, obviously don't want to spend more than I have to.

I am looking for something preferably "duffle bag" lookin', not one of those big rectangular contraptions that looks like a 1960's luggage set.

Any suggestions?

Try this link. A little pricey but quality product.
The large & XL hold a lot of gear.

I have a Saddlemen bag that mounts on the passenger backrest. Made well and looks good. A lot of bags to choose from.

Dowco Rally Packs. You can find them for about $79.00 I separated the two to give it a cleaner look on the bike...One on the luggage rack, and one on the seat...

T-Bag Tahoe - unless that's what you meant about rectangular luggage. I like the way it looks on the bike and have used it on trips that didn't involve riding. Versatile compartments and big enough for what you describe.

I've used and have luggage from t-bags, harley sac and kuryakyn.

The Kuryakyn is always on my RK, I use it solo or 2up, packed just as you described.
It's model number 4144
I also use a couple of ROK straps for attaching it to the bike.
Got everything from ebay...could of got it cheaper, but used eastern performance cycles as the seller.

Here's a link to the bag Kuryakyn Classic

Thanks guys

I'm liking the look of that Kuryakyn 4144. Seems one can be had for a little over $100 from various web stores. I like the idea of it being expandable to accommodate different size loads too.

I've been a little wary of Kuryakyn products. Some of their chrome stuff isn't too exciting if ya know what I mean. This bag seems to get good reviews though. I'm interested to see what Waterproof Zippers look like (yea right).

I might give this one a shot.

Thanks again!

I really like my Sadlemen TS-3200.The bottom of the bag has a unique shape to it that fits a touring bike really well; the center of the bag sits on the passenger seat, and the outer sections step down a bit and rest on top of the sadlebags. Cost less than $100, and holds lots all my camping gear & lots of other of stuff. I sprayed the whole bag with the same waterproofing spray I use on tent seams.
