Couldn't really vote. depends on the situation. If I'm out gawking, looking at cattle, horses, and the like, about 40. But I do like to open her up too. Anything over 90 usually worries me as to what might jump out in front of me. Fun, nontheless!

 

My favorite riding areas are in the mountains...it's kind of twisty and blind-curvy up there and the posted limit on my favorite stretch is 40...I'm usually 10 above that when the traffic allows. Freeway riding I'm usually pulling 70-80 MPH with an occasional twist of the wrist...In the metro areas it's hard to do but I try to ride no more than 5 above the posted limit.

Hard question to answer. The freeways I like 70. Long sweeping mountain roads I slow down and enjoy the scenery. When I want the rush I increase my speed through the twesties. To get away from the pack of cagers I head to triple digits.

 

I've got agree with ya' springer. But out on the super slab, if you ain't doing 80+ around here, you get passed like you're tied to a tree. I went by a TN State Trooper the other afternoon doin' 90+ and he never touched his brakes. You've got to be doin' warp speed to get a ticket on the interstate around here.

 

My Ultra seems to be at home up about 85-90, but I like to ride around 75 on the interstates, and 50-60 on the back roads. In town, I stay right with the speed limit, 'cause I know all the traffic officers and they wouldn't want to have to give me a ticket (but they would.)

With the Stage I I find I get the best mileage under 70 or 3000 rpm, so I usually settle in there somewhere.[8D]

like the 50-65 range depending where i'm at.Occasionally on the hwy over 70 depending on traffic flow.
