Cuz if ain't all the way up and comes down when you're riding, your aZZ can be thrown off in a "jiffy"

It's a jiffy stand 'cause it was quicker to rest the bike on it than putting it on a center stand, or on the rear mounted stand as on the older HDs.

Maybe it's all because gritty, tough as nails, bad to the bone biker types, like to use words like "jiffy", now and then.
